Origin: Indonesia

Extraction Process : steam distillation

 

Extraction Description : The volatile oil obtained by the steam distillation of the dried brown nut of the tree, after the shells are broken and discarded.

Scent Description : Sweet warm-spicy scent.

 

Nutmeg Essential Oil. A natural flavouring. Used in alcoholic & soft drinks. Great to vapourise with orange and clove, especially during winter nights. Tones the body. Strengthens resistance to cold. Traditionally used in pomanders (e.g. oranges with cloves and dusted in nutmeg.)

 

Used for centuries as mainly a remedy for digestive and kidney problems. Grated nutmeg mixed with lard for piles!
